are numerous brands of koi food pellets in the global market today.
These foods will vary in quality and price. Some foods may break
in the water and cloud the water. Some may leave an oily film over
the water. Many of these quality foods are not available to us here
in Australia. But now available is the food used by one of Japan's
finest breeders Momotaro Koi Farm. They have won 8 of the last 9
all Japan Grand Champions.
As part of their ongoing
research Momotaro is always experimenting and looking for ways to
improve their technique in koi breeding, this includes researching
and experimenting different formulations of koi food as they believe
that it is one of the three most important factors in growing
beautiful jumbo size koi (along with water quality and genetics).
