The bottom drain runs the full length of one wall, ensuring efficient
capture of solids. The pond also runs a UV and a mechanical static
filter that helps with fine particle removal. Part of the roof was
replaced with polycarb to allow sunlight through. This also kept
water temperatures higher during the winter months. |

| The
hobbyist is now confident of growing young koi to a large size.
Not only do young koi grow well but older koi start to put on length
and girth shortly after being placed in this pond. The water sparkles
like good koi water should and does not have an odor. This hobbyist
only uses momotaro food now as he gets both results and assurance
that his koi are getting the best food. |
